While we were in LA my good friend, author and writer Lance Wiggs and I went down to the Children Institute to speak to the kids and conduct his book signing. The kids at the institute live with foster parents and are from many different parts of LA, where some have to fend for their lives everyday due to their neighborhood being dangerous. The institute is a place they come every weekend to get away from the negativity and have a little fun. Lance started by speaking to the kids and sharing with them the importance of education. The kids had many questions and all sounded very brilliant. At the end of the discussion the kids lined up and received a signed copy of Lance's Frog Surprise book. It was truly a blessing going out their and making the kids feel good and inspiring them to achieve all their goals!
