Mike Vick Rises Above It All

As we all know Mike Vick has been through a lot throughout the course of his career and the worst of his problems was revealed when they found out he was Dog fighting. He was reaching his peak with the Falcons and doing very well. This wrong turn earned him a sentence in prison and possibly the chance of never playing an NFL game again!

Not only was Mike away from what he loves doing the most, but he was away from the one's he loves the most his beautiful family. This was tough on Mike he realized me made the wrong decisions and had a lot of time to think about his wrong doings in prison. Vick was bashed and criticized by all his fans, lost millions of dollars and friends. This was a tough time for Vick but he didn't give up. Mike knew he would get a chance to redeem himself and once he got out of jail he did just that. He got reinstated to play in the NFL and got signed by the Philadelphia Eagles. He accepted the role of the 3rd string QB. Mike didn't get discouraged, he continued to work hard knowing one day his number will be called. 2 seasons later Mcnabb gets traded and Vick gets bumped up to the 2nd string QB under Kolb. Kolb gets injured in the first game and Vick's number is called and he shows the world that he has been working hard and waiting for this moment of clarity. He gave the coach Andy Reid no other choice but to make him the starter.

Moral of this story is keep working hard and never give up. There is always a light at the end of that dark tunnel. This has encouraged me to work hard for what I want cause in life if you want something you have to go get it. Mike Vick could have easily gave up and never played football again. This is what he loved to do so he put his all in it and look what he has got out of it; another chance in the NFL and a starting position! Regardless of the adversity, do what you love and continue to strive to pursue your goals. If you can conceive it, then you can achieve it!
