DC's own Wale appeared on the Monique show last night. It sure does bring me great joy to see someone from around the area you grew up in doing something positive and putting on for his city. There really wasn't anyone from this area before Wale that put the DMV on the map. In this interview Wale speaks on some real things about how he played football and dropped out of school and how one day he looked in the mirror and realized that rap was his calling.
